Why Ferns?

The lush green ferns add the feeling of abundance to a yoga space. It said to be one of the most welcoming indoor plants for harmony in Feng Shui, also an anti-air-pollutant to enhance the indoor air quality.

Fern plants are often seen as symbols of growth and resilience, and yoga brings balance and calmness to our body and mind. We see both yoga and ferns represent the idea of taking time for oneself and nurturing oneself in order to grow and move forward to find inner strength and peace.

Your Best Practice.
Anytime. Anywhere.

Principles we live by:

Practice that fosters grow.
Community that fosters healing. Showing up the best you can. Play. Heal. Flow.

Meet the founder - Kristen

My yoga journey started when focusing on my overall fitness level was the only main goal. It was a stereotype that yoga is just doing gentle stretching, as I left my first yoga class in awe after witnessing the incredible flexibility and strength of the other yogis have. I fell in love with yoga ever since.

While going through a shift in my career, I had nothing in mind about where I was heading but making the bold decision to travel to Nepal, where I took a yoga teacher training. It was a life-changing experience that led to many trips to learn from great masters and celebrity teachers, and became a full-time yoga teacher eventually.

After years of practicing yoga and teaching at the same time, I saw a great transformation in my body, fit, flexible, and confident; then I began to explore vinyasa or flow-influenced styles till I encountered Ashtanga Yoga. The class started by making a loud "Om" sound, followed by the opening mantra. It immediately brought peace and humble to me, as the energy I received was something my heart felt yearning to resonate with. It was so profound with that instant healing power made me feel so grounded, and in that moment I felt yoga is mind and body.

In year 2018, I embarked on my first trip to Mysore to practice under the guidance of Saraswathi Jois and I have been returning annually to continue my study of Ashtanga yoga. With years of being a dedicated practitioner, my growth in practicing yoga not only just achieving advance arm balance or difficult backbend, but to put mental health first before anything.

As a student, my intent on this path knows by staying the course with patience, I will realise a divine fulfilment through consistency;

As a teacher, I strive to be the one who empowers all beings from the inside out.
